Couple's Guide

This section provides essential information for planning a Disney wedding, such as timelines, budgets and special requirements like minimum expenditures.

Set a Date

The very first decision you will need to make when planning a Disney Fairy Tale Wedding is what day you would like to host your dream event. When making this decision, be sure to also consider the day of the week your date falls on, the weather and seasons and whether you would like a day or night wedding. Our Disney Wedding Consultants are here to help assist you in checking availability for your prefect day.

Wedding Timeline

One Year in Advance of Wedding Date

Twelve (12) months prior to your desired wedding date, we are able to tentatively hold space for your Disney Fairy Tale Wedding. If your events are taking place at a Walt Disney World Theme Park, Ariel’s at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, or Atlantic Dance Hall at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort, then you may sign a contract at this time. All other space may be confirmed exactly eight (8) months prior to your requested date. In the meantime, you can begin to research the following items for your wedding event:

Completing your guest list & compiling an accurate address list
Reserving an officiant to perform the wedding
Contacting Tuxedo vendors for information
Collecting photos, color swatches and ideas for your wedding event. Keep them together for use during the planning stages of your wedding - they are excellent tools to help communicate your wedding dreams and are invaluable reference resources for your planning team.
Your Wedding Consultant will be happy to assist you in selecting rooms for your guests and creating a room block.
Eight (8) Months in Advance of Your Wedding Date *

Eight (8) months in advance of your wedding date, we will send you a Letter of Agreement outlining all space, hotel rooms, policies and procedures relating to your wedding event. You will review this document, secure signatures of all responsible parties and return it with a $2,000 deposit (payable only by check or money order). At this time you should also e-mail us your guest list in order to send out the Save the Date Announcements, Reservation Forms and Advance Purchase Ticket forms to inform all of your wedding guests of your upcoming event.

Soon after we receive your signed "Letter of Agreement", you will be introduced to your Wedding Planner and a comprehensive planning kit will be sent to you. This will allow you to begin narrowing down selections, preferences and details and will prepare you for a productive planning session closer to your event. Please note that pricing is not guaranteed until six (6) months prior to your event.

*Unless events are at a Walt Disney World Theme Park, Ariel’s at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, or Atlantic Dance Hall at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort which can be contracted earlier.

6 Months in Advance of Your Wedding Date

Pricing for the details of your event (i.e. menus, photography, videography, entertainment, floral, etc.) can be confirmed at this time.

4-6 Months in Advance of Your Wedding Date

We recommend that in order for you to maximize the efficiency of your planning process you schedule a visit for a formal "Planning Session" with your Wedding Planner and Floral Designer anywhere between 4-6 months prior to your wedding date. Since pricing can only be confirmed at six months, this is the earliest your planning session can take place.

Of course, we are delighted to attend to all wedding planning details via telephone, e-mail, faxes and mail if your schedule does not permit a visit prior to your wedding event.

Rest assured that the entire staff of Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings stands ready to assist you with all of the planning details of your very special wedding event. We will make every effort to accommodate your requests for site visits and planning meetings as long as we have advance notice in order to allow sufficient time to dedicate to you while you are here.

6 Weeks in Advance of Your Wedding Date

Your Wedding Planner will provide you with a detailed Final Budget of your entire Wedding Event. This will be based on all specific conversations and meetings that you’ve had leading up to this time.

1 Month in Advance of your Wedding Date

Full payment in the form of check, money order or credit card is due to your Wedding Planner. If changes are made inside of thirty (30) days, they are subject to various cancellation charges as outlined in your Letter of Agreement. All unassigned rooms in your Resort Room Blocks will be released at this time.

72 Hours Before Your Wedding

A final guarantee will be required for all Food & Beverage functions.

Guest Communication

save the date

As soon as your signed Letter of Agreement is received and processed, we will provide a complimentary "Save-the-Date" Announcement Mailing to all your invited guests. It includes an announcement to guests that your wedding event will be held at the Walt Disney World® Resort, a customized Guest Reservation Form and Advance Theme Park Ticket Form. You simply need to provide us with a complete guest address list and we will do the rest! We will also provide you with a supply of extra announcements and envelopes in case you have additional invitees.
